Research is an integral part of faculty development and enables the faculty to keep abreast with the emerging trends along with an additional knowledge to the knowledge bank. The institution promotes research activities by providing:
- Seed grants: Financial assistance to the faculty to meet their operating expenses of a research program or project.
- Incentives: Incentives for publishing in International, National journals & Conference volumes.
- Granting leave of absence for Ph.D. and M. Phil. : Aided staff are encouraged to avail Faculty Improvement Programs for pursuing research as per UGC norms.
- The institution encourages the faculty to participate in International, National and Regional conferences and present papers by providing financial assistance for transport, accommodation and registration.
- Financial support is provided to organize conferences, seminars, workshops and training programs of faculty.
- State of the art infrastructure facilities like well -equipped ICT enabled seminar halls are available to organize conferences, seminars, workshops and training programs.
- An amount of Rs15 lakhs out of Rs 30 lakhs was earmarked in 2010-2011 from CPE grant to establish state of the art research facilities on the campus.

A centralized research facility with latest equipment, computational facilities, work stations and books and journals is fully functional made available to faculty and students.
e-Journal of Research – Ann Quest:
Ann Quest is an online journal initiated by St.Ann’s College for Women that provides publication of articles in all disciplines of sciences, social sciences and humanities. The journal manifests our vision to stimulate intellectual activity, to build the collective knowledge base and to provide the portal to record and disseminate the thoughts and perspectives of scholars and academicians.

well stocked library with all the essential features provides access to reference material through books, journals and e-journals. The facilities at St.Ann’s Library include:
