The Vision

  • To emerge as a ‘Quality  connect’ by developing a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action towards  quality enhancement through innovation, ideation, internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

The Mission

  • To channelise the multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary approach in the design of need based curriculum and its implementation and innovative changes to meet our vision of academic excellence.
  • To stimulate the academic environment for promotion of quality of teaching-learning and research.
  • To modernize the classroom experience by integrating ICT in regular teaching, learning and research and create globally competent students.
  • To promote  the basic moral, social and spiritual values necessary for holistic development in tune with our vision .
  • To act as a change agent in the institution.

The Quality Strategy

  • Strategic planning to set priorities, focus energy and resources, strengthen existing practices, and ensure that all units are working toward common quality goals.
  • To leverage our strengths and build new competencies in tune with the changing times and in accordance with our long term vision.
  • To develop quality systems with consciousness, reliability and transparency for attaining best results for the academic and administrative performance of the institution and to set benchmarks for periodic evaluation for improvements, significant growth and achievements.
  • To provide a sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning.
  •  To collaborate with other stakeholders of higher education for quality evaluation, promotion and sustenance.

The functions

  • To keep the institution abreast of and abuzz with quality sustenance activities on a wide gamut of pertinent issues through international/national/other academic events to expose the students and teachers to new frontiers of knowledge thereby strengthening the fortitude of the institutions leading to holistic development.
  •  Development of benchmarks for the various academic and administrative activities of the college.
  • Development of Institutional data base and documentation of the various activates leading to quality improvement.
  •  Formulate and suggest strategies for continuous improvement at an operational level and combine Issues that need approval at appropriate levels like Academic Council or Governing Body.
  • Quality Assurance through documentation and academic audit.
  • Quality improvement through interactive forums.
  • Preparation of mandatory quality reports, coordinate for assessment, accreditation and awards
  • Dissemination of information on the various quality parameters of higher education.
  • Administering Feedback Mechanism from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institute ional processes.

IQAC Report

An agenda of total quality viewpoint has made a profound effect on the institutional perception of qualitative planning and IQAC is always eager to innovate, ideate and implement. In the year 2016 – 17 focus of IQAC was to develop realistic and attainable quality benchmarks for each of the academic and administrative activities. Following is a glimpse of IQAC @ St Ann’s

  • Organised Induction program for freshers and Orientation Programs for 2nd and 3rd year students .
  • Faculty immersion program for new faculty was organised. Prof. L. Sail Kumar, (Ex Dean, IPE)
  • Coordinated/facilitated meetings of Deans, staff – teaching and admin, Various academic and administrative committees, Centres, Exam cell, and Planning and Evaluation committee.
  • IQAC coordinated BOS, Academic Council and Governing body meetings.
  • The college welcomed Sr. Ignatius Suman, Provincial superior, and Dr. Sr. Anthony Mary and Sr. Inyasamma for institutional external audit.
  • Students seminars were organized on Young Woman to Lead Change, Effective communication and Self-Motivation
  • Internal Academic and Administrative Audit was conducted.
  • A National Seminar “Benchmarking practices for quality enhancement” was organized. The speakers were Mr. Ponmudiraj, Deputy Advisor, NAAC, Bangalore, Prof. Chaya, IQAC Coordinator, S.Nijalingappa College, Bengaluru.
  • Seminar on Public Relations and office Technology for Administrative staff were organized. The speaker were Dr. Ram, Editor, ASCI and Mr. Narayana Murthy, V. Senior Manager, Training & Operations, Bhavitha Foundation.
  • Seminar on Awareness on Health- Post Menopause and Interpersonal Skills & Time Management “for Auxillary staff. The speakers were Prof. T. Srinivas, Academic Coordinator, Ambedkar Open University.
  • IQAC and NCC organized a Five day workshop on life skills in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Affairs , Chandigarh.
  • Yoga demonstration for entire staff was held.
  • New feed – back questionnaires were prepared and data was collected offline and online.
  • Starting a Legal aid cell under the patronage of The City Civil Court Legal Services Authority, Hyderabad is in process.
  • AQAR was submitted to NAAC.
  • College Annual Report was prepared
  • Theme of year was “Citizenship” and year round activities were organised/facilitated
  • It was proposed to initiate Young Faculty Award and Research Award from the year 2016-17
